Dear Restoration Family,
Matthew 1:23 NIV The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel (which means “God with us”).
The Christmas season is upon us! Christians have gathered for centuries to wonder, wait and worship Immanuel—God with us together. I’m so thankful we have been able to gather more consistently over this year with more people vaccinated (and even boosted).
Our Kids Christmas program (12/19 at 5:15pm) and Christmas Eve celebration (12/24 at 5pm) historically attract a higher number of guests, and specifically, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. We welcome you to join us in-person or online. In addition, we also know the next two weeks will likely include more family and social gatherings. These are good things in an enduring season of distance, division and disruption.
We also know in our state the hospitals are stretched and stressed and the Minnesota Department of Health has shared these guidelines for holiday gatherings.
In keeping the focus on Christ, you are welcome and invited to attend our holiday events. We want to celebrate Christ together. We will not require, but will provide face coverings at these services, and we welcome you to wear them. No pressure and no judgment—again our focus is on Immanuel—God with us and our unity in Him.
Please reach out to the leadership team or myself if you have any questions or concerns.
With much hope,
Pastor Rob
