Foundations of Prayer Class

Prayer is mentioned hundreds of times in the Bible. When Jesus taught about prayer, He did not say “if” you pray – He said “when” you pray. But why should we pray? And why should we keep praying when we aren’t seeing our prayers answered? Are there prayer strategies that are more effective than others? Does prayer need to look a certain way? Let’s gather together and explore these questions and more through what the Bible teaches about prayer.
Who: Anyone curious about prayer or wanting to deepen their relationship with God through prayer – invite friends to join you!
What: This is an opportunity that will create space for us to dig into God’s Word to learn more about why we pray and provide practical tips on how to grow in the practice of prayer at home. Foundations of Prayer includes four of the six weeks gathering together to learn about prayer with tips to engage with at home, and two of the six weeks provides space to ask questions and discussion after engaging in prayer together. Be sure to bring your Bible and a notebook with you.

When: Weekly on Tuesdays from 7-8:30pm, April 16 – May 21
