Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

We (the leadership team and staff) have been praying for our church, cities, country and world in this uncertain time. We want you to be aware that the Apple Valley Senior Center (where we gather on Sundays) is still closed and will remain closed until further notice. We will update you as we receive updates from the City of Apple Valley.

We also know that, through history, the church has always grown through trials and adversity. We believe this time is no different. God is present and in ultimate control even though world events are causing anxiety and fear. You can find our worship services on our Facebook page and Youtube, as well as past messages on iTunes and our website. Our prayer groups, small groups, and student ministry are meeting virtually. You can find more information on our website about ways to connect and engage, as well as the most up-to-date information on gatherings or gathering restrictions.

May the joy of the Lord be your strength!

To attend worship online go to www.facebook.com/restorationcov.live. One of the concerns with attending online services is the loss of gathering together in community. We can mitigate this somewhat by letting one another know of your online presence with a greeting and comments in the chat line. If you have questions or difficulty or need further instructions on how to do this please contact us and we will try to guide you. Also, connect with your small group, ask for prayer, and remember we are the church- scattered and gathered-and others are looking for peace and hope in these uncertain times. We can share it. We are in contact with Westview Elementary to see how we can support them in this time.

It’s natural to experience stress and anxiety in the face of a threat we cannot control. Because every person reacts differently, notice what your body and emotions are telling you: Listen to your emotions and talk to God about what you are feeling. Ask for prayer from a friend or our prayer team, and seek help from a professional if you are having trouble functioning. Also, avoid the pull to 24/7 “breaking” news.

This is one of the beautiful times where we can be the church for one another. To assist us in being aware of one another’s needs and to aid in our prayer for one another, please let us know if you are ill. If you are a vulnerable individual, a senior adult, or are ill and have basic needs, we would like to help connect you to places and people that can help. You can call or text the church office (952-373-1274). This is helpful all the time, but particularly during this time.

We will keep you all informed of Restoration’s events and gatherings as best as we can. Check the church website and our Facebook page for the most current up to date notifications.

Finally, remember that we need not be fearful. God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.
