SERVING OPPORTUNITIES
We have three very practical ways for you to serve the Westview Elementary School Community.
ABC Teachers (this is the most important need at Westview right now)
There are 16 kindergartners who do not know their alphabet and they need our help! The school is looking for adults or high school students to work with these kids for 30 consecutive school days from 2:30-3:30 p.m. (15 minutes with 4 kids). You can commit to one or more days per week. We would start Monday, October 10 and work with the kids until November 23.
Leap to Literacy Volunteer Program
Volunteers are needed to work on a regular (weekly) basis with a kindergarten or first grade student in a one-on-one situation to support literacy (both reading and writing). A time commitment of 30 minutes up to 2 hours on your volunteering day can be flexible with your schedule. Leap to Literacy will run from October through mid-May. On-site training, continual support and materials are provided. Morning and afternoon time slots are available. Lots of volunteers would be a huge help to the school.
Serve at the Spaghetti Dinner
Tuesday, October 18 is Westview’s Spaghetti Dinner. They need volunteers to help with greeting, taking tickets, serving food, helping with clean-up and working the drive-through. We would be partnering with the kids who are also serving at the dinner. You can work anytime you want to sign-up between 3-8:00 p.m. White shirts & black pants are to be worn by the workers.

Middle School
Are you a 6th-8th grader or a parent of one? If so, you’re invited to a meet and greet time with Lucas Nelson and Louie Washleski as they are launching a life group to help the students work through the Bible together. Lucas and Louie would love to meet and greet with you this Sunday, October 16 following the service in the coffee shop area.
Life Groups
Life groups have been launching during the beginning of October. We would love to have everyone at Restoration be part of a life group. Groups will be following and discussing an eight week sermon series on The Marks of a Follower – what does it mean to follow Jesus (Galatians 6:17).
Here are the current options:
